MIROSLAW BALKA

Miroslaw Balka participated in the exhibition "To Brancusi" in connection with
the reopening of Malmö Konsthall in the spring of 1994. His winning project for
a national monument commemorating the Estonia catastrophe has made him
well known in Sweden. Balka's art has its point of departure in the
measurements of his own body. His contribution to the BETONG-exhibition is an
impregnable House of Childhood.

ANTONY GORMLEYS

We remember Antony Gormley from his exhibition at the Konsthall in 1993. A
major part of the exhibition then was an installation featuring 40,000 little clay
figures in a big field. As a follow-up of this impressive work the artist is now
projecting an "allotment" of carefully measured citizens of Malmo in a
landscape of human architecture, a concrete suburb where every individual is
his own house.

ANISH KAPOOR

Anish Kapoor will be using the flexible architecture of the Malmö Konsthall in a
most surprising way, subjecting the visitors to a thrilling experience in which
he, as always, will question the reliance on our senses. He will present two
"voids" for us to fill with our own experiences.
